Happy I Do Day

My friend, Alicia, is getting married in December and she wanted a holiday type invitation. At first she thought she wanted it to be in greens and reds to celebrate the Christmas season, but then changed her mind. She wanted her bridesmaids to have black dresses so they'd be able to wear them again at some point. So she changed her colors to black, cherry cobbler (which we all love!), silver, and white. Her wedding is going to be very simple, but sweet and pretty. I found out today that she was very anxious about me making the wedding invitations because she wanted them to be "plain and simple" (her words). Alicia is a soft ball player and she loves to hunt actual deer and ducks! She kills them and eats them (shudder). On my mini farm I have Ducks (for eggs and because I think they're cute...they are my pets), Chickens for their eggs, dairy Goats (also, my pets), and cows (we are going to eat them). I was a little afraid I wouldn't find something she liked. Luckily, I found the Word Play stamp set in the catalog and showed her the "Happy I do Day" stamp. She loved it and said it was perfect! This is the card I came up with...she was grinning from ear to ear...whew!

  1. There's a meat eater you probably shouldn't invite to your home! lol Cute card. I like the colors. They look pretty classy for a winter wedding.
