Designer Cuts Heart Card

This is a really girlie card that I made and was quite impressed that I was the one that came up with it. It uses the beautiful heart from the Designer Cuts cards and envelope sets in the Occasions Mini 201 on page 9.

I used the Hearts Framelits Die to cut the pretty heart out and embossed it with pewter embossing powder ( BEAUTIFUL!!! ). Then I snailed a piece of cs underneath it and used snail to attach the Pleated Satin Ribbon (which I love!)around the heart and attached to card with dimensionals half on ribbon and heart.

Spiced Up! Treasure Chest

My group, American Ink, has been doing the whole Secret Stampin' Sister thing and it's been fun. This is the gift that I made my secret sister last cycle. I bought the treasure chest at a discount and replaced the ugly material it had been decorated with with our lovely spiced material. The ruffled ribbon is our vanilla satin ribbon...I sewed two pieces together to make it wider and then pulled the thread to ruffle it (this covered the ugly seems). I used a hot glue gun to make sure it would never come apart.

Shamrock

My club members got to make this Shamrock using the Dresden Bigz Die (125597) (I call it the petal die). Tomorrow I'll show how we made it...I was going to do that tonite but the nyquil I took has just kicked in and I'm starting to feel woozy.
